I really wish I was in the UK right now. I seriously think it would be a good idea to organize as a fandom and stage a rowdy protest outside BBC Wales.

As an aside, overheard the best conversation ever on the train home on friday night in the wee hours. You really had to be there, but now just saying "BITCH CUZ I LIKE MONEY!" is enough to crack either me or Megan up hardcore.

Well, if I've already got access and I'm necessarily going to be locked up no matter what happens, I think I'd pull everything I could get on paranormal activity and UFOs. I'd then quickly release all of it publicly on the Internet.

You know what? I try to be really accepting and not put my own beliefs above anyone else's. I really do. I make a concerted effort to remind myself that all thoughts are valid, and I don't judge people for believing in things I don't believe in or for not believing in things that I do believe in. For this precise reason, bigoted atheists really piss me the fuck off. I'm not talking about people who just don't believe in God and aren't pushy at me about it. Those people are lovely. I'm talking about people who refuse to even accept that those of us who do believe in God have brains.

I'm not talking about people like Tim Minchin, who poke fun at Christianity. I can laugh at myself as easily as the next man. I quite like him, actually. I'm talking about people who are fucking douchebags about it, and get all high and mighty about their atheism and how they must be smarter than me or more enlightened than me. That is fucking bullshit. Narrowing your mind to accept only scientific absolutes and refusing to accept that you might have any more to learn or thinking that you even have the power to comprehend everything in the entire universe? That is shutting yourself into a little dark room and refusing to accept any visitors. That is forcing ignorance on yourself.

Of course one of the ignorant beliefs forced on yourself in that situation is the belief that everyone who believes in any kind of deity must be exactly the same as everyone ELSE who believes in any kind of deity. That is frankly just ridiculous. There are many different kinds of people in this world, man. Even assuming two people from the same sect of the same religion must be identical is ludicrous.

In short, stop fucking ragging on me for believing in God. It makes you look like a douchebag.
